First of all let me tell you one thing; am not a Mammootty fan. But like some of you guys I was a fan of Mohan Lal, but now I do not like him for the type of movie he deliver. I believe this is not just my opinion.
Recently there was an incident which further demolished the image of Mohan Lal. He was doing a stage show in Dubai, in which one of the audience tried to climb to the stage, most probably to dance for the song played, but then the unthinkable happens; Lal pushes him over the stage and down to earth !!!
If some of the hardcore Lal fans have a hard time believing this, then watch this video yourself.
That was just an appetizer, now see the full stuff (Full Video).
As you can see, Lal and Afsal was singing a song from the flick, Halo (no comments on that Lal movie!!!), but I have to admit, the song wasnt that bad. Any way as the song was advancing, one of the fan tried to climb to the stage. After watching the full video it seems pretty clear that “the fan” didnt had any wrong intention, but just to dance to the song; as we say in Malayalam “olam moopikan keriyatha”.
Mohan Lal could have just encouraged him and sing along, which would further entertain the crowd, but instead he pushed him off to “ground”.
Earlier there was an incident Mammootty hit one of the fans. Lal fans took this opportunity to defame Mammootty, but in the end the truth was he was continuously disturbing Mammootty and atlast out of frustration he hit him. But in this case its not just a beating, but Lal pushed a guy off stage to ground.
Mohan Lal is already infamous for appearing in the ad of a liquor company (“Vaikitentha parupadi ?”), and explicitly saying in interviews that he does not have the respect for women as a gentleman should have.
Whats done is done, I never expected such a rude behavior from Lal (note the rage in his attitude when he pushes the fan). Am pretty sure this would seriously affect his prestige and his “remaining” no. of fans.

I wanna begin attack by noting you a “holy” mistake – You wrote above its a DUBAI show but this one happened in UK & Europe
“congrats” for writing an article without knowing basic stuffs!
A simple observation will say you that its the last program of the show-Lal pushed that man bcz he doesn’t wanna spoil his show to the last minute! Also NOTE that-just after few seconds he pushed that man (a drunkard or wat?) a group of dancers came to the stage! so its obvious that the program was a MIX of dance & songs by Afzal-Lal. Lal might not be interested in messing the dancers (that wer xpected 2 come next on stage) with that mans pranks! His action is reasonable!

Acting in an AD is personal freedom! – what hell you will say then after watching a great movie like “DEVASURAM”??or many other movies in which he drinks? (No.20 Madras mail??)
Mohanlal’s LOVE for his MOTHER is pretty famous!! Dont say RUBBISH like he doesn’t have RESPECT 4 women!!
Getting a women in BED is yet another personal freedom – as long as Lal is not involved in a “saari” or “suryanelli”

People LOVE Lal 4 his genius “Acting” skills! This incident wont shake his real admirers even a single step!
As I knew (from my reading,televisions & others opinions) Lal is a man of great Wisdom (who talks on anything under the sun with great knowledge) & he does anything 4 his Friendships!! Even Mammooty told once “Lal is man who gets in trouble due to his extreme love 4 friends”
Think twice before aiming your arrow @ this man!!!

I didnt had enough time to waste to research about the place where this incident happened. Infact if you Google it, you get a mixture of opinions (Click here to Google).
Also i believe,just because it took place in UK it doesnt make the incident right, its still bad and unacceptable.
About the ad, ya ya its personal freedom; then why did Amitabh Bachchan was refrained from Cigarette ad. I know there are rules and regulations,yes they are different. But what about the moral side.
I dont think at any point, the movie “devasuram” or “no.20 madras mail” is telling the audience to go have a peg. This is where an ad is different from a movie, you please understand that first.

Please note this FACT!- Kerala govt gains its max.revenue from Liquor sales..isn’t it? Annual sales turn over is Billions of rupees! If you are roaring against Lal for just an AD – why not raise your voice against Kerala govt. who makes huge amount of profit with LIQUOR!!!??
To all Moral policemen – Cutting some leaves of a plant (if its harmful) will not stop it from doing that harm – CUT AWAY ROOTS 1st!!

Mistakes are always Mistakes – accidently or unknowingly you made one – Try 2 accept it – Defend only if you dare 2 win!! otherwise no use.

Since i didnt believe “the place” really matters, just checked the first google result and it says “at this overseas show in the Gulf”. thats pretty much the end for me. now Y dont u accept this fact ?
I heard “vaikitentha paripady” ads increased the sales of Original choice. Acting on that ad was a bad move from mohanlal.

Ya (not most) some of the celebs have done liquor ads, but that doesnt makes it a R.I.G.H.T. on the moral side. You see, they have their personal freedom and all stuuf, but the thing is a celebrity is followed and watched by many, including children, so when they are doing these kind of ads it corrupts the young minds of India.
I see you are a hardcore fan of Lal, please dont think i hate Lal, but i will criticize what ever he is doing wrong.
man, i m not interested in stopping the liquor sales! bcz I do drink!! I dunno how a man who drinks can raise against Liquor ad!…LOL….

you have to remember one thing,Mohanlal too is a Human being.. And all are just Reflex actions which occur in just 1 or 2 seconds.
He didnt want the show to be spoiled by a drunkard(PAMPU)[May be!].And in a sense of a detective,just watch the video
from the .05 seconds to .09 seconds,in this particular timeperiod we only see Afzal(co-Singer) alone in the stage(Video frame) and at .09th second
Mohanlal comes into the frame and pushes the man.He might have shown something provoking Mohanlal…?
And as far as mammootty is concerned (in his famous video beating his fan), the man was simply standing besides him raising his hands for a shake
from Mammotty.That can be called as a Rude behaviour…..
And coming to drinking,it is personal
SRK and Amitabh was requested to quit smoking by a minister and he was replied by them Not to interfere in their personal matters… etc etc..
As jojo said LAL is man who values his friendships a lot,acted in lots of films for his friends even without reading the scripts…
LAL has been indulged in several business like TasteBuds,Hotel business etc… In fact these all were started by his friends,became flops and Lal helped them
by investing and so on and so on,Also if we see an interview or something with Lal we can understand that how Humble he is…So chances for rude behaviours from LAL are less ..

Finally someone with sense to debate.
About the detective style, what in the world that a mere human can do in .04 seconds.(thats 1/25th of a second or close to the frame rate in television broadcasting). Even for that man to do anything in that pivotal second is humanly impossible.
About his friendship, say he is close friend with Mr.X, and this Mr.X happens to kill a guy, will Lal support him, just because of his friendship ?
You cannot justify a man’s actions on the name of friendship (or in short blame your friends, its only you(Lal) who did those(a bad movie)).

its not .04 seconds… 04 is less than the persistence of vision ,and we are not supernaturals to see it….. what i meant is a gap of 4 seconds!just watch it once again…
By saying abt lal’s frndships, i was stressing on the fact that Mohanlal Is a cool and friendly man (What mammotty is’nt, so i called his act as RUDE) and a cool person cant be rude!
Okay even if it is rude ,i can show u a 100 incidents of LALs Love and respect to his fans….. Mohanlal spent somedays in Pala international GYM during the shooting of spadikam and according to them(GYM Authorities) they havnt seen such a nice Man(STAR) in their life.While mammotty refused to give a hand shake,LAL was so cool to them so that they took photos putting their hands on Lal’s Shoulder!

My bad, when i saw .04 i misunderstood the metrics. Even then do you think he can provoke Lal by 4 seconds, my best guess is he just wanted to dance on stage.

mmmmmmm actually i think a lil bit differnt, i say lal was trying 2 save dat program..jus an assumption ..i think that music concert,the music was a recorded one and if som how due 2 the prank f fan if the mike goes down..the whole program wud b a flop..som problem hdd hapnd lik dat b4 nt sure..and if u chek dat seen d pushing seen u cud hear lal’s voice though he doesnt sing at dat tim…well am nt sure if its his voice or some others chek out urself and reach a conclusion
